Also, more in the new trend of where fashion photography meets wedding photography. As I look at the Miami wedding photographers market I realized that there are many different weddings or event photographers. These are categorized I think as follow: The follower, which is basically the one that imitates the styles of others. And then there are the innovators, which every venue or wedding is a new venture of capturing the most beautiful images to make after all your wedding the best moment capture in time as possible.

  Since I know that a pictures is worth a thousand words and I rather be an award winner photographer I would always do the best I can to capture that moment in time like there is no second chance in life!.       People always ask me what are the most important things in selecting a Wedding photographer. I think first and most you need to see his portfolio first, to see if you like his photography style. Because, after all photography is an art and what might be beautiful for you might not be so for someone else. Yes, it is a fact that any photojournalistic photographer might be able to capture your wedding as it will happen. But you might want to have a photographer that can setup also some traditional portraits.

      This way you have the best of both world. Also, some of the question you might want to ask are as follow: Do they carry backup equipment?, Do they use an assistant?, Do they have a second shooter if not, can they provide one?. More and more I see couples gearing up and embracing this profession. Am not endorsing it, but some of them do and excellent job.

      Also, the more artistic photographers spend more time doing post production or retouching on their work, so their prices for wedding photography might not seem as much competitive than some one that doesn't. For instance, I do color correction and basic retouch to all the photos I take in a wedding. I do not deliver any raw material, since the reason you hire a wedding photographer in the first place is to make you look your best.  These little things are what makes the difference between a photographer that charges nothing and one that does because it is their profession after all.

      What about my sister cousin who just purchase a new DSLR. Hmm, lets think this for a minute. Are you going to trust one of the most important moment of your life to a family member. Just think what will happen if something where to go wrong. And you don't have those photos?. If you are definitely constrain  on your budget, perhaps you can try to cut down in some other items but do not go low en on the photos or video.
